    Default projector losses

In your experience what is the % loss of power in the projector. IE if you measure the output of each laser at the laser head add them up, then measure the projector output of the scanners. What percent loss do you have.

Been surprised how much the mirror, even the better dichro's etc cause for loss.

You can expect to lose a bare minimum of ~15% total. Probably more. Even with HE dichros.

Between losses on Tr. through dichros (ESPECIALLY if you are mixing DPSS with Ran. pol. multi diode Laser modules). And losses on Ref. of dichros.

Depending on your scanners, I have seen losses up to >20% *JUST* on scanner mirrors. Especially in the 445 wavelength.

    Its sickening, i know!

I have 1 system with 6W/637, 8W/445 and 8W/532 and the losses are heart attack causing! lol. The waste beams can put on a show in a football stadium!

Damn dude... lets get some mirrors and send that waste beam down the turnpike and I'll pick 'em off here in Delaware.

It all depends on the quality optics you use.

I have had dichroics from laserwave in the pass with 15% loss on passtrough!

Now I have quality dichroics with less than 2% loss.

on chinese galvo's you can expect another 10% on the scanners.
