Doesnt that mob (with the switcher) take forever to ship? Not that it matters - I could order it - I'm far from finishing my projector - as I still need 2 lasers, a quick show and some bounce mirrors / adjustable mounts.

The only saving with that psu is weight. The ring transformer is the same dimensions, give or take 10mm. I'll go with it because it is local, weight is of no concern, and I can document it here for others to copy so there are further options for projector builders to use

4 weeks shipment is fine. A metalshop takes usually 4 till 5 weeks and an optic supplier takes up til 8 weeks or sometimes even more. If you order just order 4 for other projects as well.

2.5 weeks max for an off the shelf component like a power supply. 4-8 weeks is understandable for a built to order component, but 4-8 weeks for an off the shelf part is over excessive.
