Default Riya Multibus Light driver issues

I have a Riya Multibus Lite DAC. This is the black one with a USB connection on one end and a 25-pin ILDA connection on the other end. It is this device: http://www.riyalasers.com/images/pho...MB_Lite_cl.gif

Can you some tell me exactly which driver to use with this thing? I have downloaded a multitude of drivers, but none seem to control my laser nor can I use the Riya test utility. It still says no device found. I believe it's a driver issue. If someone has a dropbox location or other place for this driver, I would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Ahh Yes, that's one of mine now. I also have one ordered from CT Lasers that should be here soon. I have an FB3 DAC with Beyond, but I also have the Riya that I got with LSX. I like tinkering around with Pango stuff and LSX, but I can't get the Riya to work correctly so I may just have to figure out something else for an LSX DAC.

There has to be something flakey with that DAC, if you are good with electronics try soldering on a new USB cable. I have LSX and a riya lite, it works very easy. There was thread somewhere maybe in the reviews about an cable issue on some.

I like paying with all the flavors also, you have some very nice hardware jelly

I have Dr.Lava's hand written DLL file for the Riya. PM me for it, mine works flawlessly. PS if your dac has the black cable it is first generation and you will have to replace it. I did and it solved all the issues. Riya has since gone with a different shielded beefier cable and this issue has been resolved.

I have this working now. If anyone else is having problems, here's what I ended up doing.

    1. Search the Windows\system32 folder for anything including "riya". Delete those.
    2. Go into the system registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\USB\ and find the Riya hash ID.
    3. Under Service, change it from USBRES.DLL to RLUSBRES.DLL.

Plug in the device. It should find the right DLL now.

I have a new problem now, though.

The laser works find now and shows play, but the scanning has some artifacts of not blanking exactly right. Circles look normal, but squares are not complete. Dots have a trailing light also. I've messed around with some of the settings, but it still doesn't look right. It would be fine for a beam show, but for graphics, it's horrible.

In Beyond with the FB3, graphics and beams look amazing. I want my LSX to look like that. Is there a HOWTO on setting up scanning options in LSX? I've experimented with moving the slider bars all the way up and all the way down on the blanking options and I can't tell that it makes a bit of difference. I have the white perfect, but I notice that any pink shows up as white. I tried shooting some video of what it's doing, but it doesn't come out right. I will keep trying and post if I can to give a better idea of what it's doing. If someone has a World file they could send me for CT6800HP scanners, that would rock.

    Thanks!
    MR
