    Default Dichro problems

    Hello
Just got a power meter and tested my DIY rgb projector. My green dpss laser goes through the red and blue dichro and looses most of its power. At aperture the dpss is 110mw and after the 2 dichro it's only 25mw. Do I just have crap dichros?

    Thanks
    Jason

Is your green uv filtered it is possible the dichros are filtering it if not. Have you measured your green through just a filter?

I would say that you might have them reversed. I just recently had the same issue on a laser I just serviced for a club. Did you "read" your dichros as in the correct filter in front of the correct laser?

Yeah the correct dichros are in front the the correct laser. I'll try reversing them. Do they need to be exactly 45 degrees to the green laser?

    Thanks

I would say the answer is YES!! Any other angle and you will diminish the light frequency effectiveness of the dichro and dip into the other frequencies that conflict with the pass through frequency

Thanks for the help everyone. I found out the problem, it had nothing to do with the dichros, lol. It's Quickshow, when QS is turning on the laser through TTL, I only get the 25mw. Everything in the software is set to 100% power for green. When I unplug the signal, I get 90mw.
