Happy 4th. Enjoy your fireworks, beer and LASERS!
Just in case anyone else has a 35 watt + CO2 laser and is grilling today, I found that the sweet spot for hot dogs was 1200DPI, 14% speed and 100% power using an Epilog Helix. We had less success rastering ground beef though, it seems to be better suited for vector engraving.

Nice dog!
My thanks goes out to the fellow veterans out there and all those that makes america such a unique place. Happy 4th.
Got to see the fireworks, got out of downtown, and drove into 1/2" diameter hail.
Our lawn was WHITE with it.
May God Bless America!
Please remember the Civil War happened 150 years ago, as of this year...
And think of our Vets, who have sacrificed much so that we may be free.
*** PS, That Photo is the best use of a Epilog ever!

I do believe that's the first custom engraved hotdog I've ever seen in my life. Nice![]()
I spent the 4th in Alabama doing a show for a Church, with one of X-laser's new Dimension-series 3 watt RGB projectors. (rented, of course)
The show was awesome, the crowd loved it, and the projector was incredible! Unfortunately, I lost the stupid SD card from my camera, so I don't have any pictures from the show OR of the beautiful projector. But it sure was a nice rig... And when I say nice, I mean *NICE*. Kvant, eat your heart out...
And the dt-40 wide scanners were really something. I had no idea they could scan graphics that well, and that wide. I might need to make a few changes to my rig in the future!
Anyway, I'm just glad that there weren't any problems, especially considering what happened in San Diego!
