Default QuickShow timeline fade in/fade out not projecting

I'm using a Reke 500RGB projector with Quickshow 2.0. I'm finding that the when using the timeline and keyframing the fade in/fade out keyframes (opacity handles for those of us in video editing speak).. it is not showing up on the actual projection, but is showing up on the computer on the laser output monitor window. The projector is just jumping from scene to scene without the transition. Is this a limitation of my projector? The other transitions seem to work without issue when not using the timeline.

the Reke 500RGB unit is TTL so the lasers are either off or on. they're incapable of fading.

this is very common in cheap chinese laser devices.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I know it's a cheap chinese laser device. But I consider this a trainer unit,.. and will suffice for now while I learn and for the displays I am currently in need of. The question I have if the lasers only turn off and on is: why is it that I can increase and decrease the intensity of the laser in the target settings?

sorry, you've exhausted the sum total of my knowledge about the reke system.

    no problem...

you know, it would be fairly straightforward to convert those lasers to analogue modulation.

you could use a badip quad driver, or some drlava flexmods.

i think it would be well worth it. especially if you're intent on doing transition fades, abstracts, color cycles. or even just to have greater control over your color balance.

I definitely would be interested in making some mods. I would be very interested in upgrading the scan rates on this thing. I'm still in the very novice stages here but find it very fascinating.. and addicting to a degree much to my wife's dismay. Currently I'm just using the lasers I have for some elaborate halloween and christmas displays. But I have been getting interests from other people that I show this to, for other events such as weddings, or advertising. I've also been in the music industry for many years and know many musicians that are showing interest in incorporating this in their light shows. So I might take this much further and invest in better equipment if I see it could be beneficial.
