    Hey...For 50$ I'd grab it if I was you....
    Whether it has a better diode in it or not, I cant say really..
    Its probably the same power as its a reader..

    oof i just looked at the postage prices $35 and it takes 28-42 business days! and for express it is $75 and takes 3-5 business days! what a joke. ill stick to ps3 lasers

    This was the very first unit ever made ..As it was the "test horse"
    27mW and also modulatable TTL analog to well over 5okhz.
    ...then we made Specs 25mW portable.
    Remember now, this was 6 months ago.. now it seems everyones makin them altho a little lower powered
    but thanks to availability of cheaper diodes it can be done.
    BTW, both are still running as strong as the first day they were made.

    I think Im gunna put it in my range finder replacing the IR unit.
