    Default Setting up CT scanners

I recently got a set of CT6800HPs on ebay (without drivers).

Now I also have a pair of CT MicroMax 670 scanner drivers on the way, so need to get them up and running with the scanners.

Already got the 670 tuning guide from the nice people at CT - have been using it as bedtime reading.

Now the question - The tuning guide is pretty generic, and not written with laser projection in mind.

Tuning guide says Open loop tuning -> notch filter tuning -> coarse tuning -> fine tuning

Do I switch to the ILDA pattern after the coarse tuning, or is the fine tuning really needed first?

Another thing - The drivers support Class 0 and Class 1 tuning - which one is most suitable for our purposes?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Fine tuning/ILDA is a tossup
You do need the Notch if the notch matches the 6800s. If not, the notch is a PITA, and can usually be bypassed.
Class 0 is preferred for speed, but either way will work.
Class 0 will need more work to get right.

Can I have a copy of the microamp manual? I know you can't post it.

    Exactly what I was expecting

Okay, haven't received the drivers yet, so I don't know which notch filters they have.
Will find the resonance frequency of the scanners, and use the notch if it is in range... If not, I'll just run without.

What kind if speed penalty will I get from class 1? The extra precision is tempting for graphics

    I'm guessing ~10% less speed.
Did your manual cover multiple parallel notches?
Did the manual cover finding resonances? If not, I have one that does.

Oh okay, class 0 it is then

Manual covers both single and dual notch filters - resonance testing as well

    You have a pm

    Thanks, Thomas
