Paypal wants everyone's Internal Revenue Service Tax Identification number. That's just a little bit too much sensitive information than I'm comfortable with giving to a huge faceless corporation with a less than stellar reputation for integrity. Yes If I stop using their services, I know that won't hurt them one tiny little bit. Do they have the ultimate safeguards in place to protect everyone's personal information? I doubt it.

Havent had a chance to test with 445nm, although I'm sure there will be no issues.. Ran out of time, but will make a point to get out to the workshop tomorrow evening..

I did however test with the P73, and 4mm 1.5mrad with no issues, probably could have tweaked it down a little more..

What lens are you using with the P73 before the corrective optics? Will the G2 suffice/work?

the g2 didn't cut it with the 71 diode, so i expect it not to be suitable for the 73, too

dave has his own 2mm FL lenses and he has made them available for the rest of us, too


if you want my suggestion, get a diode mount, a lens with lens barrel and the cyl lenses, all from dave.
this is a tried method of getting usable beams out of the 71 and 73 diodes

Gentlemen..." Count Von Mount " @ Terrawatt labs had a idea...Perhaps Dave could offer this along with his new Cylinderical Lens mounts...See Pic !!!

Just an Ally plate @ 10mm thick with a 33mm wide by 5mm deep channel machined down the centre !! Assuming that the LSP mounts are 33mm wide by 16mm long....then such a simple piece would keep the mount centerlines aligned...AND keep the mounts in a parallel relationship to each other and a perpendicular relationship to the beam path ( when the plate is correctly positioned) !! Set the Plano to Plano distance for optimal geometry...and attach the mounts to the plate and the plate to the optical bed.

What the Count is after is EASE of alignment....and CHEAP !!! A 96mm x 60mm x 10mm Ally plate should be very low in cost. Kick these out with a CNC...so as to not add much to the bottom line !! Waaah Laaa !!!

Ah....and remember the Counts favorite phrase..." I luv to Mount " hahah
