    Default Dave's diode mounts

Anyone have any of Dave's diode mounts/holders in the US? I am after four of them. I have a friend visiting the US very soon so he would be able to bring them for me.

    Cheers

You should specify which mounts I am guessing you are after the special centering mounts for reds. They are different that Dave's standard mounts. Either way let us know.

Good point. I am planning on putting together two RB modules. So I guess two normal mounts for the blues and two special centering mounts for the reds would be needed.

Also if you didn't know the two mounts are not the same height.

Oh bugger. I better so some searching on the special mounts.

Would I be better off using 4 special mounts then? or just raise the normal mounts to match? or just stick with 4 normal mounts?

I am going to use the cylindrical lenses from the current group buy for both blue and red diodes. The blues will have the G2 lens and I guess the reds should use Dave's 2mm lens for best results.

just use a couple of mm1's with mirrors to correct the beam height issues. nice and simple.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Defo use the special mounts for the red, they are awesome, a little fiddle to first set up, I guess they should also be good for Blues.

    Thanks guys.

I have some MM1's kicking around - so all good on that front.

Now just need to source the mounts in the US

yep double bounce will fix ya up, but if he was building the BR modules as one small unit space could be an issue.

thanks swami for once again reminding me of the double bounce.

The smaller the better would be great but I will have to see how things come out.

I do have some of the mini flex mounts so could always use them to save some space

    Cheers
