Who's your Daddy....was Dr.Moribus. See Pic...Well he was lika Professor....but was Identified as Dr.Morbius....or just Morbius in the film. The film is somewhat based on Shaksphere's " The Tempest " IIRC !!!
Morbius was a Class A Nut Job...who deemed himself superior to all Earthlings and therefore was the self-appointed keeper of the knowledge of the alien race..."The Krell"
The movie seemed to paint Morbius as unaware that his daughter had become a woman....because he was so absorbed in his work....yikes...what else did he have ta do !!!
Morbius did get bent outa shape when his daughter..." Altara " chose Commander JJ Adams over dear ole dad !!!
The Commander was a Class A Cock-Hound himself !!! with the polish of a schoolboy !!! Ah...the Classics.....Life was sooo much more simple then !!!

Like I said, I identified with Dr. Moribus. You should cut him some slack. Incidentally, have you seen any of these brainwave computer interface ports being used (because of their expense) with spinal cord injured patients. We have been thinking of looking into these for gaming, seriously. How much you bet the Krell started out this way? Hmm?
