Is it just me?, but what the hell is a 'Brony'. Now, I know it's something to do with animated pony characters, but is that it? Seems to be mainly young boys that are into it <sorry PJ>. I really can't unnderstand it and i'd like someone to explain it to me in simple terms... What's the attraction? Does it have sexual connotations?, if so, it can't be healthy fantasising about ponies

Surely i'm not the only one who nees an explanation?, is it my age?

If anyone feels they are well educated enough in such things as to be able to offer an explanation please feel free to PM me.

Maybe a seperate thread would help for the ones really not getting it.
It's more then just liking the show and to be honest there is very good reasoning for liking it.

factors like nostalgia, good character development and extremely high grade fangrade content make this all grow so much (summerised in a nutshell)

It's bro + ponies = Bronies.

The whole image that ponies are for female is similar to the thing that pink is considered for females.
The reason behind it is just learned behaviour, its like what we see as a moral standard.
There used to be a period where pink was worn by males and was trending (for non homosexual males) and females.

Nowadays those old morals are shifting and we are being more acceptible with things that were considered out of the question.
I think that is great.

Why blame someone for enjoying what he likes or bullying him for doing what he likes, i'd say its better then going out on the streets stabbing or mugging anyone you can find or beating up people for no reason.

I do most certainly get out.
I do lasershows because of it.
I sell merchandise too, I had to also sprain my wrist on autographs so to speak (It was a lot).
I get invitations to tons of conventions all across the world and have been recorded for television for 3 days straight (just finished that)
Strapped with a wireless microphone for hours was interesting

The music is what pulls most people to it and is a must to check out before giving it the middle finger.

Because bronies I have contacts spread over the world in every country, trying to get me to events wherever lasers can be used and I can laser.
I get a great amount of promotion, get places to stay for free, free drinks in certain places, get to meet celeberties from the animation industry and from the looks of it this is also getting me into Cal-Arts in the US!

The camera guy who came all the way from camera to record here at my home made me my own figure and also has 3D printed one.

Sticker is there just for fun guys.
No stressing about me pasting it on all my equipment because I keep the warnings serious
