    Default Scan thru effect

Ok, I've copied this from someones facebook page, hopefully they wont mind. I'm just trying to figure out where I can find this effect. I had a similiar one years ago. This is basically just a simple wave scanned thru this effect. Anyone have any clues?

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Nothing really special about, it was just a piece of plastic with grooves in it. I just dont know what to call it or where to get one.

Flecom, I think you ended up with the one piece I had? It was originally from AVI. It is a very cool effect and I've just decided I need to find another one!

When I spent a few weeks working on a trial basis for AVI that was a custom molded and ruled piece of plastic, somewhat white with triangular lines rising out of it.
    It was custom made plastic.

ah is it that effect? sounds exactly like what steve is describing

I was thinking maybe using those cheapy plastic "holograms" (which are not holograms) and taking the paper image off the back, the plastic has very similarly shaped triangle grooves
