Multiple max scanrates? Is that possible in ST2000 Intro?
Hi guys,
I'm working on a 30 minute show with 3 lasers and a waterscreen. Normally I put my scanrate on 20K for beam shows so i can scan wide (I got DT 40 wide's) and when I do graphic I put the scanrate higher, depending on how heavy the graphics are.
I like to put Rhythm is a Dancer in my show which is a heavy show to do on 20K.
My question is now: can you use multiple maximum scanrates so I can scan on Zone 1 Main Graphics (20by20) on 40K and al the other zone's on 20K in ST2000 Intro? Or can I use (35/) 40K without problems? I'm trying to figure it out but without success until now
Will use 3 projectors with 2 DAC's: 1 DAC for a green/blue projector (DT40 wide) in the centre for beams and graphics and 1 DAC for two side projectors (blue, DT30's) beams only.
Thanks already for your suggestions/comments!

Hey Rizard,
You can't have a different scanrate in each projection zone unless you have a separate QM2000 for each zone. If you go to projector settings with both your QM2000's connected, you will see a tab for scanrate and you can set a different scanrate for each scanner (QM2000)...
In LivePRO you can set the scanrate of each individual cue, so you could use Showtime for graphics and LivePRO for beams and set all the beam cues to 20k, you do this by right clicking the cue and selecting Image Properties. I'm no expert in Showtime or LD2000, but you might be able to set the scanrate of individual frames or timeline events somehow...
Hope that helps

Hello Rizard,
The Rhythm is a Dancer show should be using projection zone 1 - main graphics. You can set your zone preferences to a higher scanrate in this zone. The tracks of the beam parts of your main projector you set to zone 4 which can have a lower scanrate but the same projector. Set your Satelites to 2nd atmosphere I guess zone 9 or 10. The zone settings for each track you can find on the right beside the tracks in the showtime editor.
Please look into the Rhythm is a dancer show, maybe there is no projection zone defined.
It is even possible to set different scanrates to every single event. When you create a new effect you can chose between many effects like size, color, brightness and ... scanrate. ;-)

Silly silly me! ghehe
Just "found out" (well I knew practically) that you can set in LD2000 the scan rate for a single or a block of frames if you just klick on the advanced tab. In this tab you can adjust some options for that frame, like color balance etc. So I will set al frames that go to zone 4 at the 20K like I normally do and the graphics on 40K. Have to test it jet but think it will work.
Now I have to find that frame I need :P Need al steam whistle because I have a sample of it in my intro for the show. Thought I had it in my collection of frames but after a frustrating 1,5 our search still didn't got it....
It's in the QS show Bad Girls from yourbigdaydj but can't open it wit my LD2000 software.... bummer. Does anyone of you guys got it maybe? :P

In QS you can select a cue and than go to : File - export cue
and you will get a frame file that you can use in LD2000

Thanks Aricha. I don't have QS so that was al little problem
But I just found the frame today (by accident). So much frames and if you don't put them direct on a place where you easily can find it back it will be frustrating when you try to find it but you can't... I think everybody knows what I mean

How do you all go about storing/filing your frames and animations?
Cheers

Well still using the pangolin frames like you get when you install. Got some new. And if I make a show I go thru some frames and save them in a folder put the frames that I need in the showframefile and delete the other.
