Should be at this one, and will bring piles of vaguely relevant crap as usual, just bought Beyond upgrade so if anyone has any pointers, I'll be all ears!
As always, if anyone needs me to bring mains distro or heavy mains cabling for the weekend let me know, we have a virtually infinite supply, it looks like you have hazers covered, but I can probably borrow a Unique hazer from work as well if required! (I won't bring my Vision Light Enhancer, it weighs a ton and smells) I'll probably chuck in the big fans and foggers as well in case we get to play outside!
Sounds like there will be some interesting toys there this time round!![]()
Great Rob, the Distro's and cabling will come in very handy mate as ever. Thanks

If anyone has an old, not wanted anymore, self contained operating deck & scanner system? I may be interested to purchase at the LEM.
I would like to plonk something scanning on the output of the ALC and control it from it's own deck? I have't got a lot to spend so don't want anything all singing and dancing, maybe even a twin oscillator with speaker/coiled mirrors? but would prefer scanners.
Thanks

Hi Jim,
I think I have an old pair of fairly cheap scanners. Bought from a company called Nu Salt Lasers, about 10 years ago. I don' have anything to mount them on and I am not sure about the PSU, but I am sure we can sort something. I really don't know how well they work and they arn't worth much. So I think I can donate them free if they are of any use. You do such great work organising these events it's the least I can do. I will try and dig them out this weekend and give them a quick test, but a couple of years agao they worked fine. re the power supply I know I have the components so that should also be Ok. Just find yourself a bit of aluminium to mount them on, but I may be able to get this sorted also. Hope this helps, glad if it does
Cheers
Steve
if you need a base plate machining jim let me know

Thanks chaps.
I have a thick ally plate sticking out of the front of the ALC head, you can see it on here somewhere? (Pics of the head I have) to mount the scan set too so no ally work required Andy mate, Ta
What I am after is a self-contained system, something like a PM20 or less!!! as I realise they still hold their price and as I said, I ain’t got a lot to throw at it, tis on a tight budget don’t you know , I want something that has a mirror set??? To plonk infront of the beam on the plate at the front of the ALC head, a lead to a ‘controller deck’ and a mains lead to the wall type arrangement. Something old! I don’t want a DAC scan system having to use a PC as well, just something simple.
Thanks for the offers but I don’t think they are what I am after? I think

Dunno what happened to me smileys then??
PSU's ain't a problem, I can usually scource something if I need to.
I think a scan set will require a DAC and I don't want that sorta system, can't be arsed with a PC and software and all that
Looking for a deck - Lead - mirrors sorta ting![]()
