They are the ones, but they were on the "today only" page earlier this week.
They have NEC ones today for £17, I've just been there and picked up 2 Liteon 20x £45 for the pair.
It's always worth looking on the Today Only because cheap normally comes cheaper.

There is a tab at the top off the page that says Today Only.
    Here's a link.
The ones I bought today are the Liteon 20 speed LH-20A1P, I've just pulled the diode from the first one and it puts out 248mW at 295mA :O

    Default Nice heatsinks!

Hey Chad, those heatsinks are SWEET! I'm pretty jealous now

It looks like they also have the collimation optics built-in? Did you get the optics from the group buy as well?

    Thanks.

Yes the collimation optics were from the buy also. I have bored the heat sink out to hold the optics. So far they are working pretty well. I have some ideas for version 2. I am going to order some aluminium next week and make some posts and post holders to go along with my breadboard.

    Hey Jim
Ive had 2 of those liteon drives in my cupboard for a couple of weeks, I was hoping I would get some more power from them being x20 now you have confirmed it!
This week I have been working on LD driver and mounts for 2 diodes which will come from these drives - Im getting more excited now - with pbs combination this is gonna be approaching half a watt of red. Wicked!
What Im trying to do with the driver is get it to work with the LD in cathode to ground mode instead of anode to +ve so I can bolt 2 of these to a common grounded heatsink/mount without having to worry about electrical isolation.
    Will keep the group posted.

The challenge now is to see who can get over the 1/2 watt from 2 diodes.

Watch out for them being open cases, I have knackered one cleaning the crap off the side of the case, my scalpel slipped and caught the fine wire inside it

Heating the heatsing does make it easy to remove the diode.

The 16x DVD's are going for clearance prices because the new 18x units are on the shelf. I got two 18's and didn't notice until now after reading this thread. No wonder my pointer burns stuff
