Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of developing a lightweight lasershow composer + designer software designed for people who want good software at a lower price. I plan to charge just $35.95 for this purely to cover my development costs. No dongles/computer locking/superantipriacy stuff, just software.

With the amount of material out there, I don't think actually making it is the problem. But what I want to know is ideas. People who've had experience with laser software, what do you want to see.

I mean, there is the basics:
-line tool
-eraser
-ILDA output

but what do you want to see?

Any user interfaces you like for me to adapt on?

I'm going to write this in either C (not C++), VB6 (in my dreams) or C# (depending on the libraries available, possibly).

If anyone has any ideas or wants to contribute, please post here!

I'd also appreciate feedback on the actual idea and concept itself. Note I'm not doing this for all your $35.95's, it's as a project for me to get some experience with the stuff. The $35.95 is purely to host the site and keep updating it (unlimited updates forever for free!).

Please no "bad idea, give up now." responses unless you have good reasoning argued. Same for "love it, i'll buy a copy." responses.

If you'd like to help on this, PM me and I'm sure I'd love working with you.

Mods: Sorry if this is the wrong section, please move it if it is!
