Ok, so I was tuning the TEC's on my diodes the other night and was successful at increasing the output on my blue to match the green and the red and was also able to get my green diode to run stable without losing or gaining power at startup.(problems from other threads) Everything looked great on the wall, took her down to the basement to check color balance in the air with fog. The green was overpowering the red and blue slighlty and had a helper slowly turn down the gain on the diode while I was watching the beam.(once desired level is reached, TEC will be readjusted).
While the Helper was adjusting the Gain he slipped off of the VR and adjusted a small trimmer on the board labeled RP3. The laser dimmed down to almost no output 2mw. I carefully tried to move the pot back to its "supposed" original position but Im not able to get more than 5mw out of the green now. Turning the trimmer CCW dims the laser further, CW increases output slighly but no more than 5mw. When turning the trimmer CCW the output not only decreases but the output dosent hold. When projecting a square, that start point is visible and output decreases throughout the shape. at the end the of the shape the output is no longer visible.
Does anyone know what these two trimmers do??(RP2 and RP3 third picture) What has happened here? Can it be fixed?
Is the diode damaged?
Is the driver damaged?
