Laser Warning livepro + Akai APC 40 with ld2000 pro board

    Hi all,

my name is math and a live in france.
I am new in this forum.
    help !!!
    I use a board LD2000 Pro.
the Akai APC40 does it work with livepro 5.01 ???
I saw that this controller works on QS and beyond but with livepro , it's ok ??
I do not understand why so many people talk about mapping problem?
lately updated livepro in version 5.01.
I also downloaded the demo version of QS and the interface is substantially the same as live pro.
the LIVEPRO he takes charge of the Controller AKAI APC40?
can you enlighten me a little?
Should I invest in a AKAI 40 ACP?

    thanks

Hi Math, welcome to this forum.

By default the apc40 does not work with QS or livepro. The apc needs to have feedback to make usable, and this is not standard availeble in livepro.

Te apc does work in beyond, because you can make feedback with yhe pango scripting. There is also a template availeble for the apc40 and beyond.

About qs, this is not the same as livepro, livepro is much more powerfull. Qs is more made for the cue clicking operator and can be operated by almost everyone.
Livepro is software with endless possibilities and freedom, but got a learning curve.

Ps i do work with a apc40 and livepro, but this is done with 3th party software.

    mccarrot,

    thank you for your answer.
I started to tell me that I had posted a stupidity about livepro and Akai ACP40.
So if I understand correctly, the midi controller does not work by default with live pro.
However, to operate the controller I should use a software tri - party.
you tell me that you operate this controller, and thank you!
can you help me to parameterize the interface "live pro"?
What software do you use for the 'tri-party' ?
Are you satisfied with this controller?

I look forward to your response.

We use the APC40 with LivePro right out of the box (although no feedback).
It also works well as previously stated with BEYOND (with feedback - and is ace!)

    hi Dan,

you use a board LD2000 Pro with "livepro"?
I downloaded the update to 5.01 and the tutorial "livepro."
In the tutorial, he shows how to configure "livepro" to recognize the MIDI device and shows how to configure inbound and outbound afternoon.
It also shows how to configure the speed.

But did you configure parameters in MIDI livepro?
    it's complicated?

    Dear Math,
Yes, it was used with QM.NETs.
All fairly straightforward to setup; if you're really struggling I could always send you a copy of the MIDI settings file of my setup. (Although it is probably easier to customise your own).
Ensure the APC40 (or any other MIDI device) is plugged in and then start LivePro. Select it from the drop down box in the Options -> MIDI settings page. Then on each slider, special buttons tabs etc. click on a function and move a slider/knob/button on the APC. It should self-learn with a CC / note number if it's talking to LivePro correctly.

    Best Regards,
    Dan

    DEAR danielbriggs, mccarrot,

    Thank you for your experience!
I'll try and I'll return with my experience and livepro Akai ACP 40 as soon as possible!
I'm relieved because I can ask for help for parameterization.
    I will notify the progress.

    thank you

    Dear Dan,

I plugged the AKAI APC 40, then I start "livepro"
first observation, I did not AKAI APC40 in the drop-down list ..
I have instead >> "usb midi device"
so I do not mind you send me a copy of the MIDI settings of your setup file.
    - Observation: However in the'' live "" showtime "the akai is recognized.

So how do I upload in livepro, the settings midi file??

    Waiting for your reply.
    thank you for your help!

    HI, UP

I had a response of BOB pangolin on Akai Pro.

    >>
The APC40 is an midi controller. As far as i know, live pro does not have midi feedback. So the APC40 will work, but without midi feedback and you need to setup your midi mapping your self.
    >>

I do not understand what I do!
    pls help...

ok, I've started to do my midi map for a apc40 and Quick show with a 3rd program, keys are ok, but my problem is the sliders...is there a way to find what midi adress or keys have the sliders of quick show ?
    (hope you understand me..)
