Steve's new boss, a laser guy at heart, just told me I can continue on this with the three watt. He also gave me a contract exemption for laser display, and orange and yellow solid state. This is shocking, as I now work for one of the vendors Planters and I used for the project.* So on weekends, soon the 3 watt project will resume after I'm done training. Training may venture into European travel if I can survive my field exams. I will be spending four days a week traveling, however I'm supposed to be at home for Fridays and weekends.

*(So solly, I'm not in a position to do samples and free parts, wrong division of the company)

Hey Eric, keep a eye on the doubling crystals, just found out in "class" that there is more then one angle region (most likely 2 or 3 on one side of the cut center line) where they will be active. One of them, and only one, however will be the hot spot for clean, high power green. The first ones either side will be about 60-70% of max power, and the ones either side of them will be maybe 35% if the 3rd order is present. Tune the cavity by watching/peaking the IR leakage through the mirrors while peaking also the green.

I thought I read something about that KTP issue, but for the life of me I can't remember where. And, this is why I incorporated full un-quantized 360 degree rotation for the KTP ( smug am I).

And about the colors, that's good news because that's where I'm going. You betcha.

Shrad, One plane at right angles to the incoming polarization. Thank you for the invite. I fear I will have no time other then a stop-over at say Heathrow. I have little or no travel discretion when in the field. The location I'll be going is near Belarus.

I will not disparage their pricing.

5 watts of yellow for that price is cheap for now.
They have went as far as 24 in the lab from what I have read.

My way converts green to yellow without a dye.
