I've tested the diodes and they all check out OK! I have more than enough for everyone that's expressed interest so rather than reply individually, please just send a paypal payment for $25 per diode plus shipping as described above. I will reply with a tracking number once the diodes have shipped.

    To answer a few questions,

    - The spec sheet says these are multimode, but the uncollimated output is nice and Gaussian and the collimated beam is a spot rather than a line - no anamorphics needed!
    - It's very unlikely that I'll get more of these.
    - I tested the diodes at 100mA where they produced 50-60mW. I tested one unit at higher current and was seeing 200mW at a bit over 200mA. I ran it as high as 300mA without damage. YMMV, of course and I'm only guaranteeing that these will meet the specs in the spec sheet (i.e. 50mW @ <125mA)
    - These are 3.8mm cans and are too small for a standard Aixiz mount. If someone knows a source for 3.8mm diode mounts, please share.

Here's something interesting that came with the Nichia diodes. It's the guts from a laser pico projector complete with one of the NDB7242E blue diodes, an Opnext HL63133DG 170mW 637nm red diode, a mount for a green laser (upper left) and dichroics to combine the 3 lasers. The 2 diodes are collimated using a pair of cylindrical lenses which are set up to produce even illumination exiting the PBS cube. I'm not sure what it'll take to get a smaller beam out of this, but if someone wants it to make a tiny RGB projector or even just an 'any-color' laser pointer, I'll sell it along with a spare, mounted red and blue diode for $100 plus shipping.

Are you sure there is an opnext 63133 in there?
I would be interested in one or two if it is not too difficult to get the red out of there (i am ok with the standard LOC "harvesting method"

    Are these kits used?
The cooling of the red diode looks not very efficent.

Quite sure. I have a few of the HL63133DG diodes new-in-tray, both in can and LOC - how about $75 ea plus shipping? I only have one of these pico-projector assemblies though.
