Is the diodes in the XJ-A141 the same as in XJ-A140?
Is the diodes in the XJ-A141 the same as in XJ-A140?
The center 18 are the four bond wire M140 type diodes and the outer six(one vertical row of three on each side) are the three bond wire A140 type.![]()
So... is it beter to go for M140 now? More power but is the optical spec the same? I use G2 lenses.
As far as I can tell they are the same but there could be bin differences. The A141 it typically a tad more expensive so the M140 is still the better choice. The M150 is the least expensive one that has all 4 bond wire diodes in them. The array will be marked ST-30 instead of the ST-25 that is in the M140.
Here is a ST-25 block out of the M140. The outer six are three bond wire diodes.

The diode block looks different from A140. Any problem to detach the diodes? Is the block in the A141 same as in M140?
You would take them out the same way. The A series blocks are just a more compact design.![]()
must have to drill out the four tri wing screws ? in M140
