I sent one off to your friend today.

This is the board the modules are out of, there are forty 1000uf, 4v tantalum caps per module, each board has 16 modules. Each modules seems to be independant with it's own microcontroller and talks to the host via canbus.

Hum, that pic might explain a lot about the hiccuping. I gave Edi a heads up on the incoming PSU.
