Seems to me someone (DZ perhaps) was looking for just this sort of effect recently.

Guess I just have to get a couple....

my favorite part: "variance free and ready to use"

my other favorite part: the momentary blue spike when he turned the power on.

other than that, it's a cool effect that could be fun as a scan through.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

That uses a lenticular scan through effect. They do that so it can keep a lower class rating and meet the cdrh power limits.
Also it will have a small scan angle.

Actually on this one you need biggish pieces and a large diameter bearing ie 25 mm or greater or a good quality Lazy Susan bearing.

Downside, we need to make a mold, its not a stock shower door material any more.

Would something like this fit the bill? Is 60 lines per inch is enough:

    ... why so expensive?

Bought a 3D-software some years ago with different lenticular-sheets up to 70 lpi for a lower price - look here: http://www.perspektrum.de/linsenrast...nsenraster.htm
