It's interesting to see the driver board is mounted upside down, wonder if there's something they don't want us to see yet?

Also, wonder how large the driver board is? On the one hand it looks large when you look at the projector. But I get the feeling that the projector is compact (can you confirm Philipp?) as when you compare it to the scanner block it looks quite small.

On the one hand, the wiring is more compact with the board as it is, but tuning would be impossible.

The only demo we see is in a laser projector. And I suppose that is the most interesting to this forum, but the other applications highlighted on the website are a potential market. Do they put any effort into promoting these?

The scanner body are 2.5" So I would guess that the amp board is about 4" x 3.5". Not to bad.
The interesting thing to me is that there is a bunch of unpopulated stuff on the bottom. It would appear that he is using a high power opamp or motor driver for the output stage. You can see them soldered in the middle back by the heat sink. On either side he has room for two more that are unpopulated. I am wondering if this is a quad scanner driver or if he is planning on doubling the current available to the scanners.
Btw that is a kvant projector.

OK. No argument there. I did see the sign but, I was wondering if like the Kvant they had any installed,operational gear and hence had invested some effort down those lines. In any case, I'm a little ignorant as to how X-Y scanning works with slice 'o focus imaging. I always thought these microscopes used a translation actuator, maybe including a piezo for focus and than also stage movement.

There are two different kinds of confocals. One uses a moving X-Y translation stage for scanning. The other ones use a galvo scanner in the back focal plane of the microscope objective. Both have their advantages nd disadvantages.

Hrmm.. looks an awfull-lot like a 6215 dual-amp, from the rear, iirc.. will have to refresh my mem in the shop over the weekend, could totally be smoking orange-peel, atm.. Anyone have a 6215 dual-amp they can post a rear-end pic of? Perhaps, something they did as a 'stop gap', just to demo the 'actual motors' only? Intriguing..

I don't think there's any conspiracy going on here... probably is the dual-amp board for the 6215's that would have been in the Kvant originally. Based on other earlier pictures that have been posted here on the forum, the amps used by Kvant in this model projector are mounted in the same manner.
