    Default Analog Drivers

    Hi All,
I'm chasing analog drivers to run two mitzi 500mw and three m140's
    and Postage to NZ
    Cheers

    Hi James,

I'm driving my diodelasers mostly with simple currrent regulators (LM317 or LM338) and PWM for modulating powers from Milliwatts to some Watts - easy enough to DIY even for non-experienced ppls ...

Will this be a viable solution or do you need pure analog driving?

    hi there,
something like that would definatly keep me going untill badpip or similar comes along.
I ordered a bunch of components off deal extreme (lm317 , resistors, capacitors pot's and boards ) Ive found guides on how to make drivers but nothing on how to add modulation to them
if you could help with that side of things that would be brilliant
    cheers

    Hi James,

... I'm PWM-controlling the LM-drivers simply by switching the voltage to the LM's with a MOSFET - this works until some 10 to 100kHz - here some infos to the drivers and LD's: http://reprap.org/wiki/Laser_Cutter

Found shematics for driving LM's with analog modulation above 1MHz, but don't remember the url - can post the pictures and infos when at home again ...

    ... found the analog (until 1MHz) LM317-driver in SAM's laser-FAQ: http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/laserdps.htm#dpsldd317

    Cheers for that !
I'm always keen to try and build things myself
Ill defiantly give it a go
