Hi All
Well, this is an easy one... Pretty much all equipment is now sorted, so you don't need to bring anything other than yourself and the following...
A laptop or PC (orMac) along with any non-Pangolin software and any non-standard DAC's.
A USB Stick drive or a CD/DVD with any shows you want to play.
We will have the following equipment ready and waiting:
Around 5 x QM2000.Net's + a similar amount of FB3's
Around five RGB laser projectors
All stands and trussing
All cabling and other networky stuff
Hazer
Sound equipment
We could perhaps use something to set up live video streaming - Nige?
If you have something that you think we may have forgotten please PM me, otherwise I look forward to seeing everyone for a nice chilled out weekend of laser shows
Cheers
Jem

Is it worth pre-organising the shows, and expanding them for multiple projectors? This would save hours of faffing around on the day with Showtime.
If anyone has any shows they want to send over, I'm happy to adjust them all before the day, so in theory we can rock up and press play.![]()
- There is no such word as "can't" -

As I was sitting outside drinking the morning coffee, a question about ShowLEM popped into my head. This LEM is predominately geared towards watching shows all weekend. So, I'm wondering... what shows are you watching? Is it mainly all the usual Pango stuff? Is it a lot of shows attendees have worked on creating themselves? Is it mainly just songs or, do you have longer length material like you'd go watch in a planetarium? I'm just wondering if those on the other side of the pond are all watching the same things we are or, if you've got different content.
At SELEM, it often seems like we're watching a number of the same things each year. There are just "staples" that have to be played and often multiple times throughout the weekend. Battle Without Honor or Humanity by allthatwhichis. The Above show from Pangolin by Blue Man Group. Rhythm is a Dancer, Standing in Motion...etc. It seems Mike Dunn's Pink Floyd Best of Echos is a centerpiece that gets run during the weekend. At some point there are often shows people have done with spaghetti, and then maybe some surprises that pop up such as Tim Walsh's "Scanner Music" a couple years ago. I'm sort of a content junkie and collector since I don't create shows (yet), so I'm just wondering if what you play is all that different from what WE play.
Since SELEM is sort of a mixture of both your UKLEM and ShowLEM, I know there are people who just prefer to tinker with equipment and others who are show junkies and just sit in the auditorium and watch what other people are playing. And can watch the same things over and over but, I've often heard people (as much as they love it) get a little bored with the "same old stuff".
Any elightenment?
Hi Brad
Well, to a great extent we run with whatever folks turn up with
We always have the 'standard' base shows that come with LD200 etc. Plus we have probably most of the shows on the Pangolin Showspace. Last year we had some shows that various people had sent us prior to the event, and finally, folks who attend always seem to have one or two new shows that we haven't seen before from various sources.
This year we're planning on running around 5 RGB projectors. We rigged up 11 last year but this was a bit overkill
Incidentally, i've just paid the balance of the money for the hire of the hall today. All's good and we're looking forward to a couple of days just chillin' and watching lasers. Hopefully James is coming along to give us an insight into various aspects of laser safety (Pangolin 'Pass' System etc). Hoping for a great couple of days, so if you haven't got your name down yet let me know so I can add it to the list.
Cheers
Jem

We can get access to the hall from 8:00am on Saturday morning
If any of the regulars would prefer to drive here on the Friday evening you can kip down at our house. I do need to know in advance though
There's a fair possibility that the spare room's been booked by Nige, but there's plenty of space downstairs, just bring ya blow up mattress![]()

Well,
Jem's spare room is going to be free.. after slagging off Briggs I've ended up in Detroit (Currently sitting in the GM Technical Centre.. doing.. nothing) and won't make it back till Saturday morning.
Life is probably not worth living if I then turn around and say "See you darling" to my wife and kids and drive down to Showlem.
Was really looking forward to it!! And also looking forward to James' presentation.
BOOOO! work!
Upside is I've managed to eat a lot of "American food"
