    Default Spaghetti and iShow DAC

Hi all, I just need some information, anything you guys can give me will definitely be helpful...
I have the spaghetti Demo, and I love it. I will definitely be buying it, if I can get some answers...

Does anybody know if it will work with windows 7 starter or vista?
Will it for sure work with an ishow DAC?
I have a 20 kpss Scanning, 1000MW/1W RGB Full color laser, with my ishow DAC will spaghetti work well and be compatible?
It is a lot of money for me to be spending on this, and I just need to make sure I'm not throwing my money away.

Does the standard iShow software work with the iShow DAC? If so it should work with Spaghetti.
Is your computer 64 bit? Apparently there are no 64 bit drivers for iShow (unless Gary made them himself).

If you buy Spaghetti I'm sure Gary will help you with getting it to work if something doesn't work. Look on the Spaghetti forum for more information.

Yes, my ishow DAC works with my ishow software.
I have a 32 bit Acer Netbook, will it work with that?
Is there any sort of backup once you download spaghetti? If my computer crashes, its just another case of wasted money.

(the ishow software caused my computer to crash more times than I can count, thats why I ask)

    How do you mean?
Spaghetti is in my experience pretty stable. Just save your work regularly, as no software is bug free. I have never known it to crash the whole computer though (but I'm not using an iShow DAC).

My biggest concern is what happens if my computer crashes and I lose the software, or if down the road I lose the software.. Can I save the shows to my computer?? And will they play without the software? Or will I have to re buy and download?
I'm not really into the creation that much, I'm looking for stuff that's already been created..
In your experience are there any basically play and watch type shows built in?

Yes, there are some shows on the ftp server. The software will also play any Ilda file. But there aren't many content creators around... however the people that use it do some very nice things with it, as in complete shows with DMX lighting and video.

You better ask those questions on the Hinged Newt forum though, or to Gary (JohnYayas over here) directly.

I got the software! It plays shows that other people have made perfect... on the computer. not on the laser though. I'm wondering it its the shows that i'm playing, but I don't know how to play single pre loaded files. i can't find them.
    anybody know where they are?

my *guess* is you're using the demo version of the software and it only talks to the dac if you pay for it.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Nah, I got the real version. and I can get it to project out of the laser. But, the preloaded shows i'm downloading to my computer, and then opening in the software it says there's a problem with the file when I go to open it in spaghetti... (i'm getting the premade shows from his website) when i play them the complete animations won't play through the laser, only half of the animations come through.

I can't find where to play the ILDA files, or any preset animations other than whats on his website..
I don't get why they aren't coming through right.

That's weird... maybe the show file is corrupted?

There are some shows on the FTP server, follow the directions here to get access: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...-November-2011

Normally if you click a thumbnail in browser mode the file should start playing automatically.
What do you mean when you say that only half of the animations come through? Do you see only half the amount of frames? Do you see incomplete frames? Or are some files displayed and others aren't?
If your frames are distorted it might be because of your hardware system. The iShow DAC isn't worth much...
