Hi everyone. This is not a direct reply to the last post. I have two of the China RGB "bricks" a 200mw and a 400mw. The 400mw is in a projector I built. I want to go analog and was wondering if I could use Flexmod drivers in place of the driver board that comes with the modules. Has anyone tried this? Will it work? Thanks in advance for your reply.

flexmods should work fine for this, but make sure you meter the current with the original drivers so you know what to set the flexmods to.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Hi everyone, it's been awhile since I have posted to this site. I posted to this thread during my first project build. Thanks to everyone for there input and help. My project is for learning and personal use only. I don't have a lot of money so I went the cheap route. This is what I have so far.

Scanners-PT20 scan set with Itrust showcard
Lasers-400 and 200mw Chinese RGB "brick"
Software-Ishow and Spaghetti using the Ishow DAC

Everything is mounted on a 12"x12"x1/2" piece of Lexan in a custom case. I don't want to waste money on an aluminum base while experimenting. Everything is working ok. The RGB "brick" needs to be realigned and I broke off one of the scanner mirrors so I've learned how to retune too. The projector is TTL. My next step is to try and make it analog. What I have bought so far is a RGB "analog" driver for the brick and a Stanwax Ilda breakout board to replace the Itrust showcard. The "analog" driver came with no instructions whatsoever. The breakout board seems straight forward but I would like a wiring diagram. The only one I can find on his web site is for the advanced Ilda board. I have the smaller version without all the bells and whistles. I guess my main question is will this work or what am I missing? If anyone has input or thoughts on this I would love to hear it. My next step with this "stuff" I have is to disassemble the two "bricks" and combine the lasers into one RGB but that will come later. Thanks.

Where did you get the analog driver? Can you take some pictures?

Your blue and Red should upgrade fine. Your Green will probably not modulate very well after the upgrade. This is due to a cheap green diode core. At least that what happen to me when I tried this upgrade on the chi brick.

I bought it off Ebay from a company called Techhood. I is less than half the price of one Flexmod P3. Here is the link.

Thanks for the reply. I will try it. The driver didn't cost very much anyway. I also need to know how to set the current to match the diodes. All I have is a multimeter.

I have one of these now in a laser projector I built. I have been happy with it.

I bought the analog version and with no connection to the color controls (TTL/Analog) it produces a pretty clean white light laser.

I am using it as TTL in the current projector simply because the show card only provides TTL control. Looking for a better show card with analog controls that won't cost me an arm and a leg. This is a hobby toy and not for profit so I will go only so far with my budget.

( Am currently shopping for a controller to get ILDA from my computer. Any suggestions welcome. I read elsewhere that some of the software won't work at all on 64 bit OS..who even has 32 bit OS any more? )

I have the PT-Itrust showcard and I need to know if it's analog or TTL modulation. I have been reading posts on here and keep getting conflicting information. Can someone confirm if it's analog or TTL because I'm trying to convert my projector to analog. Thanks for your help.
