    Default My first post here.

Hi everyone, my first post here, as I have so much to learn, I hope that you all understand. As I am just reading the forums, and trying to understand, and I could use some advise once in a while. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

A little about my self, to help you all understand where I am coming from, I have been an auto collision repair tech for the Last 25+ years as I just became very interested in lasers, and I am finding out some things the hard way, trial and error. My biggest mistake made to date is my first purchase, as I was on a limited budget. I bought a 1watt RGB ILDA projector, off Ebay from China, with out a clue as to safety, my projector has no safety's in place, and the stupid thing is a TTL, I can't use this thing for anything other than rear facing projecting. I am using Pangolin QS.
I have taken the time to get certified as a laser safety Officer, last month in Las Vegas at the LDI trade show.
So here I am still green and wanting to learn all I can about Lasers.
I have plans on a new laser purchase in February, I will not make the same mistake twice, but as I am still on a limited budget as I am looking at the Xlaser mobile beat 450mW RGB, I am not sure that this would be the one, because the 15k scan rate, I would like to have a much higher scan rate, because I want to have a clean show with as little flicker as I can manage. I am also looking to purchasing two X-Laser Mobile Beat MKIV 50 (Green) as my satellite lasers.
So that's just about where I am at right now. If anyone of you have a better idea, or way to go, or any suggestion, I am all ears.

    Hi MrChevyRat and welcome.

I am sure you will find someone here willing to help you with a projector purchase. Have a look in the recent threads, you might like the RGBverkoop projector.
