    Viktor,

Is that machine on the bottom a Flashcut cnc? Just curious since I just bought a Flashcut 7300 machine which looks identical.

Those are neat; but does it take ages to do those with 2W ?

Actually I'm marking with 445nm-diodes with 2Watts of power and a spot diameter of around 40 microns with good results - the wood-disk has 50mm diameter, the black anodized aluminium piece has 80x50mm.

@George - this is an original Isel ICP 4030, which I've modified for XY-lasercutting/engraving tests and presentation ...

@andyf97 - the machine runs with up to 10m/min with steppers (or 20m/min as 'ICV' with servos) ... but with steppers and the resulting mechanical resonancies with the actual settings I'm engraving with max. 2m/min - and you can see some 'wobbles' with a magnifying glass

Times taken - maybe 7-10 minutes for the sign and around 8-12 minutes for the machine.

The next days I'm starting with XY-galvo-scanning, but we're reactivating a 2x1m big gantry with granite frame and bridge and direct driven linear motors with up to 60m/min (without 'wobbling'!) for our 'serious' laser works with fiber-lasers ;-)
