Do these have the prisms on the output to give three images per unit?

Also, how much heavier are they when compared to the new LED iMoves?

Hi Jem, to be honest I don't know. The spec mentions:

11 trapezoid dichroic colors plus white Rainbow effect in both directions Dimmer/ Shutter: 0 - 100% dimmer. variable speed strobe, 1 ~ 10 flashes per secondHigh quality optical lens, dichroic colors and gobos

As far as I am aware each unit only projects one image at a time, so I guess not?

They weigh 12KG each, I am not sure how much the LED version weighs.

    Thanks, Simon

    Thanks Simon

Hmmm... It doesn't sound as though these have the prisms otherwise you would see three identical images from each head.

I'll have a look at the weight of the LED iMoves and do a comparison.

Thanks for taking the time to provide the info.

    Cheers

    Jem

Ah, I understand what you mean now. I think it may project three identical images but it is a while since I have used them. I will take a photo of one in operation so we can see what it projects. I was going to take some photos for the advert anyway but I wont get a chance until later this week, should be Thursday. Hope that is ok.

    Hi Jem
I'm pretty sure they don't have a prism. I think with an ELC lamp it would be virtually useless anyway. Even with an MSD lamp the brightness takes a significant hit.

Check out the Stairville MH-X50 for an LED moving head with MSD type output and a prism. Ill be getting 6 or so in April

I think I have the same lights, well an older version, Spot queens with the 150W discharge version (HID), and mine does not have prisms.
    Squat that bug,

One day I'll finish my build.

but I was wondering if these that are for sale were close enough to save a bit of cash.

Sincere apologies for the thread hijack.
