Don`t they offer you the warranty?Ask them to fix it for you,I think it`s better.

Light Magic Show for you&me!
Sometimes, send it back or not,it all depends on the value of laser systems itself. If the shipping cost is too expensive,no one would like to ship it back.Is your laser systems expensive?
Keep contacting your manufacturer,I believe they will reply your emails finally.Good luck!

Don't complain, the overall weather is certainly better where you live
Do you had problems with customs when you received the laser the first time? Usually chinese declare them as PSU or disco light parts, 20 USD and I rarely had problems...
Also certainly it exists a proper way to send back for repair with some RMA formular and a proper declaration in customs, with which you won't have to pay anything. It differs from country to country so maybe give a call at your customs?
If you want we can switch places
No problems the first time, but they are very strict.Do you had problems with customs when you received the laser the first time? Usually chinese declare them as PSU or disco light parts, 20 USD and I rarely had problems...

For the RMA procedure it must be done by a professional dispatcher, and the paper pushing alone costs U$D 250!
If I go through the official channels it will cost nearly as much as ordering a new one. (only one way shipping, one way paper pushing)
Thatīs why Iīm trying everything to fix locally, thatīs the main purpose of this thread please letīs stick to it
Thanks gentlemen!

Where was I? Oh, yes the laser. Anyway, my concern probably arises from your statement in the OP "I don't have an LPM". If you do not have any in-country contacts that have experience with these lasers then the only alternative left to you is to open up the head. Now earlier, I said that you did not have to fear switching drivers to the two heads, but breaking the hermetic seal and testing/adjusting the diodes, crystals and the optics will require a fair level of skill and more than just a LPM. This can be dangerous in a way that most inexperienced civilians WOULD understand. The faint red output from the diode(s) is hot and devious. The eye responds to the 808nm light 1/70,000 as strongly as at 555nm. So, the beam which is twice as powerful as the most powerful 445nm diode and is well focused by the eye onto the retina can't be seen and you will be spending potentially hours staring into the reflective box at specular optics. We often get a little lax with these visible lasers because we can see them and therefore we can avoid most inadvertent exposure.
If you were still interested in proceeding, then you should invest in some really good OD 6 @808 and 1064 eye ware, obtain a good calibrated LPM and you might want to consider setting up a camera/video monitor. You should work undisturbed (by unprotected visitors) in a room as free from dust as possible and maintain strict ESD precautions because the IR diodes are quite sensitive as well as expensive.
This is why I would hold off for a little while and see if a solution that doesn't require blowing the warranty may present itself.
Yay Mr Planters...
I think trying to repair this is way out of my league...
I will check if itīs economically viable to send it on a trip, if not, i will write it off...
Thanks!
