Sounds to me like that iTrust board has died. When I bought my PT30s a while back, the iTrust board went straight in the trash. I made my own breakout board and never looked back. You don't need the iTrust board anyway since you are using your own DAC and software and not using DMX. I would listen to the others and get a stand-alone ILDA breakout board and dump that iTrust. The ticking in your galvos sounds like they are getting a bad signal and are possibly hitting their physical stop which can't be good.

What power does that breakboard require by the way?

No power required (if I am not mistaken). All it does is route the XY and RGB signals from the DB25 connector to 2-pin headers for easy connect/disconnect.

Thats what i ment with ilda out^^
    Thanks for the quick answers.
Still a bit worried about current connectors and if they will fit correctly on the breakout board without converting everything.

GRRRR im really am trustrated now. tried messing with wires, putting some tin from a solder iron on them to make the ends bigger and more tight in the contacts. then it worked for a while. all lasers full power scanning without problems. but after a while(10min or so) it just snapped and stopped working-without having moves or touched the device at all!
now its back to post 1 of this topic. im really pissed off.

edit: and the breakout board isnt compatible. the ptitrust and PT scanning set has 3 wires for X and 3 for Y and none for Z.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
