whats wrong this time?

left my laser projector fully working, now it is not working anymore.
whats going on...
it turns on correctly, all fans go spinning, no weird sounds.
But sending a signal doesnt do anything in nor the riya test program or the LSX program.
However, after testing the riya test application and then quitting, i see a very fast blink of the lasers turning on but they go off within the half second.
any idea what the problem might be, what can i try?

edit: plugging the ilda cable/signal then powering on makes the galvo's turn for about 1 second. i think this is because it wants to start its build-in demo program on the PT-ITRUST board, but it cant because it reacts on the mic and i disabled the mic.
with the cable plugged in the galvos dont move at all when powering up.

edit2: okay tried enabling the mic again and if i swith the dip switches....it constantly blinks. turn build in show mode on - it blinks. turn off - blinks. always half a second it blinks then stops again.
if no one knows whats going on i probaly need to go replace the pt-30k set.

bypass the pt-trust board. I have seen 3-4 of those die now. Get DZ break out board.

I'd suggest knocking it off the *left* side of the kitchen table.. it probably just needs a good konk to the other-side..

..nah, sounds like you've got a bad-relay(s) on that I/O / demo-board, or perhaps the PSUs for the DTs / board, etc... If you're gonna rip anything-out / replace, take Picasso's advice and get rid of all that 'winky-blinky demo crap' and just go from ILDA-in > scan-inputs... Yeah, there might be 'wierdo V tie-ins' to the demo board, etc, but you should be able to ferret that out and just send scan-signals to your DTs.. at some-point, all of these such-like 'happy meal' pj's do that in the end...

Well ok il try to order a replacement for that too. I thought it could be purchased through stanwax but i didnt see the ilda board there today.

Thanks. Im wondering how easy switching would be from itrust to this?
I mean does it has desame outputs as on the itrust?

Its not hard at all just take you time looking at everything. double and triple check your wiring BEFORE you power it up. 2 wires from each laser, and the 4 from the scanners and away you go.I should have collected the one i'd seen fail and sent them back for them to try and look at but i just bin the auto stuff. less chance that i'll loan the gear out also

One of your scanner amps will have 3 or 2 wires going from it to the pt-trust board, those wires provide power the pt-trust. Those should be the only wires you do not reconnect.

i have tried hooking up my ilda gem today instead of the riya pro i always use.
the galvos scan slowly. green wont turn on, but blue does.

edit: never mind the riya does this too now.
now it does even more funnier: blue starts working now when commanding it to scan a circle, the galvos make noise too - but crack during scanning. yes they make click noises. after saying stop at the test program they scream very unhealthy.
also giving blue the 5v....doesnt make it go full power.
i will connect green and blue to a seperate 5v power supply tommorow and see if they still work properly. i hope they dont got screwed up - but since the ilda board galvos ect only sends signals i have hopes they still work properly when giving a good clean 5v.

something is very wrong with the projector. what do you guys think? definatly a malfunction on the itrust? or can it be the galvos too?
