    edit: the old drivers were tiny, about a medium-large match box.

    Can provide physical measurements if you need them, Insanity.
    I would be interested to hear the results of your testing. I have a pair of CNI OEM's in some other projectors with the tiny driver and one of them has temperature problems. It is happiest at around 26˚, but only makes that temp when running CW. It has a die4chill TEC controller, but that only cools it, I need to warm it up under modulation....

    I'm hearing good things about these modules, might be worth a look....

    Hell, they sent me a huge projector case (packed in it's own flight case) on a Monday, and it was at my door Thursday morning. That was with DHL. FedEx usually takes a day or two longer, but I've never had anything take more than 6 business days from them.
    Wow, it sounds like shipping from China has improved dramatically since I last ordered something from there. I had a DMX splitter/amplifier took 4 weeks to arrive...

    Interesting approach with TEC controller. Good to hear one is happy though. That telescope is huge on ya green!

    I tried changing temperatures, didn't help too much and hard to get remotely stable, at least yours settled under CW, mine had random flickering in CW as it warmed. Also went flashlight at very low power sometimes. Modulation below ~20%, temp depending, was 'off or on'. Supplier told me that 3-4 of the modules they tested were similar, so they complained to CNI and were sent a new model which they extensively tested for me prior to shipping. The OEM-F I have is a little different but should just fit in your case if it is the same projector pictured.
    But credit where it is due, beam specs of the old module were jaw dropping for a Chinese yagasaurus. About half the divergence you require @3-4mm, personally measured. Can only hope the new model is similar with smooth modulation.

    Have cleaned my work desk up, so will aim to dig into it over next few nights, time permitting.

    edit: have had similar shipping experience to buffo recently, 4-5 days usually, big or small. The banks still suck though..

    The standard collimator tube was extended by 12mm to accommodate a longer FL final PCX lens (40mm iirc) that got the beam diameter up a bit to better match the R and B... But I can't take credit for this, they were built for me by another forum member (P1t8ull)...

    Ahh! Was wondering if it was another optic heat shrinked on or not, interesting method.

    Regarding replacement green, modulation has improved a reasonable amount. Certainly not perfect though, threshold and linearity is still a bit of a jump, at default settings it lases at around 10-11% with moncha, have not tested on pango yet or whipped the LPM out to confirm output. The threshold jump is not really noticeable in any ambient light, so there are ways to improve the smoothness further with careful programming. I have spent some time adjusting blanking settings already, I am tired as hell, will work on this further tomorrow. Last module was unworkable. It was either flat out, slightly less than flat out, or off. For RGB with crazy gamut requirements or animations with critical modulation, this current module wouldn't be my first choice, however, I'm very picky. This is just for aerial beam goodness, which it excels at for the price. TEC tuning could be something to look at later and may also consider an AOM in the future, if it stays green only, or it will be combined with some 460nm. I have found that generally, smaller CNI modules >500mW are much better suited if you want smooth modulation out of the box. Have no viashow/laserwave/DHOM etc experience though.
    Got her pretty warm with a hairdryer as a test and flicker became more apparent. Estimated 40 degrees centigrade on the optical plate, which would be absolute worst case here. It didn't even have active cooling for the test.

    I thought the last module was tight, this one is even better. Had to measure a few times because I thought it was too good to be true. Measured after about 2 hours;

    2.5mm~ @ aperture
    After scanners 4mm~ @ 4.6m
    0.32~ mrad of pencil beam beauty. Nice little mini yag burner.

    Insanity, I wish you luck with whichever module you may have selected.
