    Default Problem with faint laser

I recently acquired an Ekho Light Pegasus laser as a second. When I first got it going all the colours (red, green and yellow) seemed to be working OK, but now only the red does - the green laser's really faint.

it's got two lasers in it, a red and a green, with the yellow being made via a combination of the two.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to restore the green laser, things I could look at etc?

    Thanks

... maybe the green was simply overpovered and not sufficient cooled? (common with chinese beamers) ... then only replacing would help :-/

Hmm I dunno, I'd think if the diode was fried, you wouldn't get any green output at all. Go through and check the wiring, maybe a modulation wire came disconnected? If not, I'd think maybe it got unaligned somehow.

Welcome to the world of cheap chinese lasers. As Things mentioned, I would first check your alignment as it's possible it's off center somewhere. Unless of course, you've already opened it and can see that the beam just isn't bright. If that's the case, then probably a replacement is going to be your easiest way to fix it. You may be able to use a different green from another manufacturer - it doesn't necessarily need to come from Ekho. Just ideally be the same mW rating or close. I've replaced a few in some cheaper chinese (and American made) lasers. Sometimes it required new screw holes or a little work with a dremel.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
