Thanks for the offer of the 6810. But have a bunch of galvos sitting here that I haven't had time to play with

I was hoping they had the stanchion style mirror mounts I could use on my 6230's.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

It just took a extra two days for the install in Montreal, some parts had to be shippped in, and a extra day for the customer's electrician to rough in some needed wiring. This is perfectly normal in the fixed laser install world. But I'm back, and after a day of dealing with the airlines and US and Canda customs, + TSA/CATSA I feel the extreme need to get something done. So the LM12s are unboxed and the soldering iron is hot. Here we go!

My LM12's arrived yesterday. $60 on blind faith, as I have NO idea what to do with them so.... they're going into the box with the motors and scanner block for the time being.

Brad, when I send you your two amps, you can send me two LM12s. All amps from DSLI_Jon except one had blown LM12s.

Reason being, I fixed four scan amps tonight, so I have two for you, two for Lanek, two for Mophead from last week repair session. Its 30 minutes after midnight and I'd done, after three and a half hours of Amp troubleshooting

The one for Swami's project is oscillating badly and nearly cooked my beat up old test galvo. But I will find what is wrong with it, probably a bad feedback network or the wrong feedback capacitor, and fix it too.

They are all running on a square wave generator while watching feedback on the oscilloscope . Tomorrow I will recalibrate the amplifier position sensor gains and offsets with a laser per the Cambridge manual

So gents, make that donation to Spec as I requested.

Ok steve, I sent a little something to admin and wrote a short note to let him know it was all your doing
please don't forget an extra pair of galvos to go with that amp. (we' ll talk about this whenever you have the time)

    Thank you very much!

ps. I was a bit surprised by the "Kyrie Eleison!" in the signature. This is very familiar to me as it is in my native language
