Maybe it's just me, but I felt like the animation was a little jittery, like the graphic wasn't being updated every frame.
Part of it is the camera I chose but there is a noticeable staccato action at the end of the lines. The overall motion is actually very fluid but at the blanked lines, it gets staccato. I am still trying to work on that. I think it may be an artifact from the seed image, which is a swept spiral. I am going to redo the seed image with more points to see if that helps.

Thanks! To be honest, I would have to agree with you on that. I haven't seen very many abstracts come out of the Beyond crowd. I'm not sure if it's from a lack of interest or what. It didn't take me very long to get the result you see above. Also bear in mind, I am not using just one projector. There are two flavors of one abstract being shown simultaneously, one on each projector. Swami, very modestly, says he just smashes buttons but that is all I am doing here. When I get a few more Beyond abstracts under my belt and feel comfortable that I have tamed the Abstraction tool, I will be happy to share my thoughts and methods. Right now, I truly am just smashing buttons until I make a pretty!

    it is a lovely abstract.

can you reproduce it with a single projector?

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    Thank you!

I don't really think so. There are a lot of blanked lines and trying to do this on one projector causes a lot of flicker. The base abstract is really nice on its own though. I am about to head off to work but when I get home tonight, I'll get few more videos of the base abstract and then also the redo I did to reduce the staccato action that is killing the fluid motion. Also, I am going to project on a better background to cut out the glare.

Hehe, I mash buttons too! And I even mash numbers and equations, which somehow seems to work - considering I don't really know what I'm doing.
I'll try and do an LSX tutorial video when I design my next show - I'm getting into Makyo recently, so a bit of Psybient loveliness I expect .... in the meantime, I need to earn/save some money for my build.

The imagery and cooreography is really good - the music didn't hold my attention.

The imagery is great. The music is an afterthought. If there's nothing memorable about the music you'll put the audience to sleep...

Actually I like electronic music - and I understand listening & visualizing what I'm going to do with a piece. This one starts out well and fizzles (IMO), and you decided to switch from interpreting the music to acompaning the music - it's easy to see - the music marches on exactly the way it was and the imagery gets all wild. Now I'm not saying you can't make that work, but if you intend to take that step you might want to telegraph it by starting the imagery before the music, or adding your bits off center to the action to distinguish one thing from the other. Or think of something else to say the imagery isn't constrained by the music. The easiest thing to do is leave the audience behind...
