Thanks Stuka. Unfortunately my lasers are a bit underspeced for these shows, however I did have a play with Jem's laser at UKLEM - although I failed to realise that I could have scanned at way more PPS. This is projected on a white wall, so detail is a bit blown out.
I designed the shows blind as it were, so I was more than pleased that so many abstracts scanned.

If I could make it work with in a 2U panel, it would end up being a replacement of the Z-5 enclosure. Currently, it's an 8U top 2U bottom and available on the market is a 10U top 2U bottom enclosure. So the original panel wouldn't change.

you're rapidly running out of hands to work the console. want to borrow my neural abstract interface?
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Not a bad idea! I'm actually building this for the Jatravartids so I think they will be ok with it!

I have a theory that by creating abstract shows I will be better able to control my beam shapes and effects when I create beam shows. Some abstracts work really nicely as beams, but not many.

Merely a thought - one of the things about the Gatorbox I don't care for is the lack of a hard lid to protect the knobs and switches. I know in the end it would both cost and weigh more but, if you're exploring ways to add the color mod panel to the existing Z-5 builds, I'd be up for a case with a hard lid, should it have the necessary 10U and 2U configuration.

So guys, it's been fun and it's been unreal. I'm finding this - whatever it was - almost as disappointing as the last ASTC conference. So I'm going to throw in the towel. Feel free to parse the following any way you like: (Yes I know - you don't need my permission.) I wish each of you the greatest success you can imagine.

As it turns out, the enclosure I looked at does have a hard top: https://www.skbcases.com/music/produ...et=&c=142&s=80
