    Shopping for diodes, & optics - technical specs...what to look for?

    Hi All! I am somewhat new to some of this and I am constantly looking, and learning. But my question for anyone on this forum is with all those cheap diodes, and optics out there. And with the prospect of even obtaining small lots from manufactures at competitive prices. I would like to think if I knew what to look for then perhaps I could find a deal! What should I look for so I don't get BURNED????
