Alphabetical USers?

Since the server went down we've lost the alphabetical user list.

It's driving me crazy trying to spot if someone is on. Can we have a return to alphabetical please?

Is there a way to put a 'like' button similar to Facebook on the bottom bar of posts?

There are a few plugins that do something similar to that but I'm not really sure what purpose it would serve.
