    A gas one lol.

Seriously though the power supply looks like an i90, but not sure as the one I have was ever supplied with the right supply. If you can tell me the exciter model number it will narrow the list of suspects.

Mine looks similar, but is in the normal light brown case. I guess it may be the OEM cased versions a bit like the Spectra argons? it was quite common for various hire companies in the UK to have Spectra argons and Coherent Krypton or mixed gas in the 80's, can't remember why? If it is an i90 I probably have a broken one if you need spares, as I know the tube was soft.

I'm off to get married on Saturday, but happy to visit you in a few weeks and give you a hand if needed. Well done, looks like a great purchase

    Cheers

Thanks for the info Steve, I haven't fetched it yet, hopefully Saturday, but will let you know.
I am really hoping it's a WL and not just Argon but can't really complain for the price.
Thanks for the offer of the hand, again, will be in touch.

Married eh! Hope it all goes well for you mate, congrats

My bet is an I-90, as-well.. that's most-deffo an older I-90 supply.. Likely a WL, especially if that's a PCAOM, under the hood... could just be an Ar, used with a PCAO, but... you'll find out, soon enough, I guess..

..but, £50.?? Cripes, + PCAO, and with at least one (?) EMS galvo, too... Oi... what is this world coming-to..

    cheers...

The good news is I have a VERY DETAILED factory service manual for it and its cousins. The bad news is the book is very big, lots of pages to photocopy and too big to scan by hand.

When you pop the lid, there is a sticker on the magnet that tells all. Looking at a picture of the overall resonantor structure and the magnet diameter and wiring, I can tell you a great deal. Looks like a I90 resonator, but could also be the OEM stretched version of the I70 head that has a I90 MRA style tube. Hard to tell from that picture.

Some one did a horrid repaint job on that baby.

Don't run it till you get the manual from me. They are very bulletproof, but if it was retired with a bad passbank transistor, a beginner on this model could do some damage trying to force the auto shutdown circuits to run.

If you do disregard that advice, and it has a switch marked UV/VIS on the back, don't flip the switch with the power on.

For Euro use, it may come with a big transformer which is needed to reduce line voltage.

Find the remote which is not pictured. You can run without it, but the remote is very nice. On some older versions the remote was built into the front panel of the PSU, which we can not see in the pics.

Well, that was a total waste of money, my effort and fooking time!!!
What an absolute cock of a business they are! Halo Lighting in North London.

I went to collect the laser this morning, 280 mile round trip only to get there and be presented with a honking gret transformer, an Innova 90 Remote and a knackered head, the one at the bottom in the photos above. The Chiller, PSU and the other laser head, with the scanners and the AOM on it, they claimed had already been sold in a previous Ebay auction, we are sorry but we duplicated the pictures for this auction and it was only for the Transformer and the bottom head!

I was not too chuffed! I told them I wasn't paying for it, of which they agreed, and they gave me the head FOC because they wanted rid for space, great!!! A head I can do nothing with, 7 hours of my life wasted and £80-90 down on petrol cash.

Begins with Wan and end in kers, sorry to hear that Jim. Maybe worth a phone call to eBay?

Ad says" EX-HIRE STOCK COHERENT LASER + POWER SUPPLY. CAN NOT TEST SO NOT SUR EIF WORKING. ALSO HAVE ANOTHER GAS LASER FOR SPARES."
    Squat that bug,

Wow that stinks, sorry to hear they did that, I would be pissed as well! On the flip side, I do see 3 GM-20's in there that may fetch $40-$50 each. Maybe recover a bit of your losses.
