At a reasonable price
For a couple of laser module i want to build

You live in West Sussex, is it right?
Well...

The sea (the Channel) should be enough close to your location (I think/hope...)

Sea = surely there will be on the coast shipyards...
Coast shipyards = use of aluminum and its alloys...

I think you can find there all aluminium plates you need... Obviously it will be not already drilled and threaded, ready for to apply modules, optics, etc. etc...
But... this way you will surely save a lot of money...

This could be a good idea for a nice day spent with family on the sea/beach and, above all, a very good chance to do a nice....load of aluminuim plates!

This worked very good to me.... For a complete projector (case 40x30x25cm: 3mm alu thickness and 10mm baseplate) I paid €55 only!!!! (waterjet cutting!)
