Specified as 8W @ 638nm on the datasheet.
Given the usual 30%-40% possible power increases. This little unit should top 10W of 638 easy enough in a single hand held unit excluding cooling.
I will post some pics later.

Holy Sh*t Andy.. what have you gotten into now?? :-0 Yes pix pleeez ..
Watching
Peace,

"Just tinkering" I love that. 8W of red is NOT just tinkering, sir!
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
Wow... wish I could afford to be "just tinkering" with 8w of anything! Let alone 638nm! :/
If in doubt... Give it a clout?
Andy is this an array or a single diode?
It is a brand new diode array with customized optics, exit beam is 4mm x 1mm and about 2mrad at the moment, I am tinkering like I did with the 2mm lens years ago.
Custom mounted Mitsu 8W bar with correction for each emitter which converges all beams into about 4mm x 1mmm.
Correction optics are custom and factory installed.

That thing is beautiful .
It is, I have two of them to test, one in a case, the other out of case for allowing me to put the next optics as close as I need.
The 4mm beam will stay pretty much the same, the 1mm needs the correction, so no matter what happens, the beam will stay at
4mm x I duno yet, maybe 4x3, 4x4. and a target of <1.5mrad.
