Lightbulb ..late to the party, but.. Dos Centavos:

...Ya, nix 'DMX-control' on all projectors over 1W (..'effectively' all Class 4's..) and *definitely* anything over 2-3W... If any ILDA-driving Operator wants (..for some wierd-reason..) to control via DMX, you can always generate DMX-frames, done.. And, anyone with a 'specialty-case' (ie: An install that wants to have automated-control, tied into their house-DMX Sho-control software, etc..) can just pay a couple-hundred extra bux, or whatever, to have it 'added'..

..and +1 for everything else Sir Brad said.. C+K 'Y-series' (Y1011C, in-particular..) or EAOs / equivalent-quality clones, all the way..

    fwiw.

Oh!!! And another thing on the wish list. External convergence adjustment! Being able to adjust your dichro alignment quickly, without taking off the lid is a HUGE well appreciated feature! And MUCH safer.

How many of you found that from the earlier "$1650" "GB" you received a bigger rectangular flightcase when you thought it would be a more fitting, smaller square case?
And that the divider in that rectangular flightcase was very weak and falling apart
And the foam rubber inside to be possibly cut too large and was folding up in the corners and coming unglued all over

I got the rectangular case, but have either of your problems. The wheels on the case, on the other hand, was not rolling at all, and after using a bottle of WD40 they still live theyr own life. Nearly impossible to push the case in planed route. It rolls wherever it wants to go.

My very first two Pluto's had the more square case. The subsequent Pluto's have had the rectangular case with the divider. I prefer the smaller case. I haven't had the issues of the foam that you have but, I see the potential for it.

But... the wheels, yes, the wheels.... biggest pieces of crap to come out of China. Absolutely awful and useless. One set has already been ground off and I'll probably grind off the others as well. As it was told to me recently, professionals don't ship with wheels on their flightcases and I've shipped one of my Pluto's out twice. I don't think Lightspace makes their flightcase and, for as cheap as they are to purchase, I don't have huge expectations but, I'd still always get one when purchasing a projector.

I got mine without the wheels. Also.. I got the bigger case. Wish it was the smaller square case though.

Wheels on flight cases really need a caster block to mount to if you want them (the casters and the case) to last.
