Question What am I doing wrong????

Cheap $500 ebay rgb laser, 1 watt. Dr lavas riya dac, running LSX on windows vista.

Ok I took the front off my laser and realigned the mirrors last night. Laser has 2 built in settings one for cartoon animations and one for randow circles, squares etc.
BOTH of the built in animations work just fine, good color, decent tracing etc.

BUT....when I hook up to lsx and display things I get no colors, blue is white or purple, green is yellow, yellow is yellow, no reds..there seems to be no color separation. Tried using the pic edit and just drew a green circle...comes out yellow, draw something blue, it comes out white.

Also cant seem to get rid of some lines that arent supposed to be in the drawing, get stray yellow lines connecting like starting and ending points (blanking??)

Any Ideas guys? I am still a noob at this.

Is there some settings I am missing???

What cable are you using ?
Are you sure it is a 1:1 (strait) ilda cable ?

I'm wondering if the ILDA port on the projector matches the industry standard pinout. It almost sounds like they wired the ILDA port different or incorrectly. Could try applying 5VDC to each color pin on the ILDA port on the projector and see if it displays the desired color. May need to bypass the safety interlock if it has one. If you are applying 5VDC to the Green pin only and get yellow you may have a bigger problem. If you can prove that the pinout of the ILDA port is correct and the colors are connected to the proper pins then you may need to change a setting in LSX.

To be honest, it sounds like a pallette issue. If it was just crossed wires then you'd just get a single colour that was wrong. In this instance you're getting red and green (yellow) when choosing green.
There was a bug in LivePro for FB3 that was similar, which was to do with how the FB3-SE was initialized.
As has been said, confirm that by applying 5v to green mod lines on the projector you get just green, same for blue and red. If you get the expected colour then you know is the DAC, driver or software doing something odd.

In LSX, check your colour mapping.
In the Settings window, go to DAC settings >> Color mapping. Make sure Analog blanking is checked and Invert colors is unchecked.
Check the sliders: in the Red channel, set the first slider to 1 and all other sliders to 0. In the green channel, set the second slider to 1 and the other sliders 0 and in the blue channel, do the same with the third slider (default configuration).

To eliminate a palette problem, play around with the RGBI event under an Animation. This will override any palette colours.

I don't think the problem is in the software though. Check your ground wires (pin 25) and the colour modulation wires.

    Conrad55,
Use for testing RIYA controllers and your projector this program: http://riyalasers.com/download/test/Test_RIYA.zip

So I just apply 5 volts to the + color pins?

Also another quick question, I noticed my laser doesnt "shut off" when connecting the ilda cable. I always get a small white dot. Why?
