Default FS: 8 Track FM Mod DeMod LFI Laser Shows TONS OF EM!

Just tossin this out here to see if there is any interest. Its old school stuff but what the heck...its laser show stuff. Brief description to see if there is any interest, if none it gets ebayed or scrapped. I need the room!

What is for sale is a Teac 38 reel to reel 8 track (8 channel) tape deck (in road case) with Laser Fantasy International FM Mod & De Modulation boxes to encode and decode. Normally run with channel 1 & 8 stereo sound. Channel 2,3,4 as one set of XY Blanking scanners and Channel 5,6,7 as a second set of XY & Blanking scanners providing two sets of blanked scanned images simultaiounsly with stereo sound. It would be a shame to wreak this stuff out for the power supplies

I will try to get a beter list but I also have full 30 to 40 minute running planetarium style shows on the 8 track tapes produced by Laser Fantasy International in the 80's, Pink Floyd dark side of the moon, Pink Floyds The Wall, Clestrial Oddicy, RUSH, a family show and many others what comes to mind. Push one button and you have running planetarium style lasershows. If someone is interested I will get a list together of shows.

I have several FM Mods & Demod boxes if anyone wants to play with this technology. Years back Floyd (LFI) and I worked a deal and I got all of their planetarium shows in exchange for something or another. I was running planetarium shows at the DeAnza planetarium back in the day. I also have a Teac 48 tape deck as well. It is a ton of stuff.

Fell free to ask questions, I'll do the best to answer them, it has been a while since I played with this stuff, and make an offer, what the hell toss one out! It is about the back of a minivan size full boxes of stuff. So if you have a mini van and want planetarium shows...this is a perfect match!

This is worth keeping together if for no other reason than to extract the shows to a better preserved format. All that stuff could be compressed to probably a square foot of DVDs with 8-channel wavs for each show, or a few blu-ray discs with 8-channel wavs. I would love to help in this process if someone near me buys it. but unfortunately don't have the room to do this all myself right now.

There is no need to "save" these shows by converting them to a digital format: they are already available in current digital formats from http://www.laserfantasy.com.

Also, potential buyers should be aware that Laser Fantasy has never sold show licenses which allowed for redstribution; licenses were sold only for playback at a single location. Any buyer must understand that they would be able to use these shows for personal use but would not be able to distribute them to others, either for profit or for free. If you're looking for shows, you might just check with Laser Fantasy -- they have all of these shows in modern formats and they offer special prices for home/hobby users.

You'd have to talk to Jack Heck about that -- his contact info is on his page, accessible though www.laserfantasy.com
