Hey guys its that time of the year again! Yea that right SELEM IS COMING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have 2 people who really want to come to selem but don't have rides or a way to get down there themselves please let me know if you can help them. so I can relay the message.

follow these steps to add you to the map.

you need a Google account for this

STEP 1 click HERE and save map to the "Save to My Places" button

Step 2 open new window and get directions to SELEM from Ur house Or nearby location

Step 3 save map to SELEM file in your My Places.

Step 4 Go back into map and hit edit go to your start point balloon and edit it to show your name.

Step 5 color your balloon Blue if you have a ride and Purple if you are carpooling.

If you dont have a Google account i can update it for you.

If you need a ride simply place a RED marker Where U live (or nearby) so we can see if someone can pic you up.[/QUOTE]

I can't speak for Rick- but he may have room for another in the vehicle leaving Dallas AFAIK Wed- arriving early Thursday we both are staying for the LSO so we will not be leaving for Texas until after the exam. Last word was Rick planned to haul a enclosed trailer and part of the load will be items carried to SELEM from Steve's going-out-of-biz sale for guys who have made buys.. Get with Rick about that--IMHO something would need to be offered to help with the gas-- but that too is Rick's Call. Shipping heavy stuff(Rick says it will be more than 2000 lbs of gear ) would not be cheap nor would you get the care we will be taking of the items.. Just returned forn AixiZ and Chuck has stepped up again this year like the last three- someone will be taking home a QS FB3- a green Labby and a 1W 445 labby-plus other items

Also KGB Brooks had planned to meet up with me tonite in Houston but the show planned there was cancelled--Brooks also has some door prizes for us..TY BROOKS!! I will be traveling from Philadelphia area and have room for two to three people on the way down (would be nice if one other person could drive manual) in my nice VW Jetta (one seat is tentative so far for Dr. Sam). I will be taking route 81-S and then heading East into NC. I am not sure that I will be able to guarantee rides back north as I am likely continuing on south to Savannah after SELEM and the LSO course. Please PM me if you are interested. Also may consider booking hotel rooms with the crew.

This is a great idea, Zach - thanks for setting it up.

Hopefully it will help some people find rides to SELEM. Carpooling is great in that it saves on fuel costs *and* makes the trip more fun because you've got other folks to talk with. (And if you think you can save a bunch of money by sharing a car, have a look at the rates for the suites at the Holiday Inn Express! They are very plush, and they're only a few bucks more than a standard room. Quite comfortable for 3-4 people...)

My ride is full- ATm i dont know anyone in need of a ride-- if there is a spot in a room for an air mattress Fri or Sat please let me know- my suite is overbooked and we have one guy in need.

HE *MAY* have room in his car leaving from georgia with a plan to arrive sometime on Friday IIRC he needs to get back asap on Sunday- PM me with any Qs

Most everybody else i know is either flying or has no spare room..

I want to help but as i have posted many times the transport plans need to be done first == not in the last few days-- I have started making plans made to get to SELEM .

FYI I will be meeting with some from DFW to discuss TEXLEM II-on my way home- I may be in the DFW area for a few days. so we WILL be having a POP-UP MINI LEM--we have found a place to meet- between aug 22 & 24.-- PM me if you are interested..( WE NEED A VENUE for TEXLEMII)
