Thread: Galvo mirror upgrade. Power improvement?

    Well after swapping the mirrors to bigger ones, I was able to tune the galvos to make a better pattern. I assume this is a shape / weight thing. Bigger isnt always heavier?

    Anyhow. Gained myself roughly a half watt, not sure how much the larger mirror made a difference. I am thinking it is more of the quality of mirror. Anyone using a higher wattage projector i'd highly recommend updating your mirrors if they are cheapo china ones.

    Went from 6.09 to 6.63W

    Where did you get your higher quality scanner mirrors, if you don't mind me asking ?

    These came from one stop laser shop. They were meant for dt40/ but hung fine on my spacelas.

    probably mirror quality. those mirrors from onestoplasershop are very good.
